Job Description

Position Summary:
This position reports to the mine General Manager of Maintenance. Primary responsibilities include assisting with the maintenance of underground and surface mining equipment and facilities so that high availability rates are maintained while meeting safety standards.
Target Responsibilities:
Must adhere to Core Natural Resources Core values including Safety, Compliance, and Continuous Improvement Ensure the company's "Absolute ZERO" safety culture is embedded in all worked performed. Primarily an introductory level position designed to develop individual into a skilled maintenance engineer/technician that can support the maintenance of underground and surface mining equipment. Provides electrical and mechanical expertise in all applications to improve the maintenance department at the mine. This includes assisting the electrical or maintenance supervisors in the installation and maintenance of conveyor belt drives, tracking and communication systems, power distribution systems, and troubleshooting. This may include work with programmable logic controllers, graphics/MMI, and introduction, vibration and temperature monitoring, and implementation of new technologies. Provides support for preventative and predictive maintenance programs as well as continuous improvement. Maintenance includes but not limited to the following equipment: miners, shuttle cars, feeder breakers, roof bolters, scoop cars, diesel and electric ram cars, water and dewatering pump systems, belt drives, conveyor systems, ventilation fans, hoists and escape capsules, electrical systems, power distribution systems, communications and safety monitoring systems, process control, etc. Utilizes Oracle procurement system for ordering parts/components as well as maintenance program for planned maintenance duties. Orders materials, parts & supplies as needed.
Minimum Requirements:
Must be at least 18 years of age Requires High School Diploma or State Certified G.E.D. Requires minimum of two-year technical degree in electrical, electronic, instrumentation, or industrial technology or other military technical training. Must be able to work overtime, weekends and holidays as schedule requires (subject to applicant s religious practices) Must be able to work other shifts as needed (subject to the applicant s religious practices) Must be able to work safely and effectively as part of a team or independently Must be a detailed oriented person and be able to communicate clearly and effectively This position is defined by the Dictionary of Occupational Titles as a heavy job category and must be able to lift, carry, pull/push, climb, shovel, walk, pry, work on/near moving equipment and perform any job specific activity as required by job assignment
