Overview The Lead Electromechanical Engineer is responsible for leading the design, development, testing, and implementation of integrated mechanical and electrical systems for products, equipment, and manufacturing processes. This role combines technical expertise with project leadership, overseeing cross-functional engineering teams to ensure products meet performance, quality, reliability, cost, and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate possesses strong experience in mechanical design, electrical systems, controls integration, product development, and engineering project management Responsibilities Lead the design and development of electromechanical products and systems from concept through production. Provide technical direction to multidisciplinary engineering teams, including mechanical, electrical, controls, software, and manufacturing engineers. Manage engineering projects including scope, schedule, budget, resources, and risk mitigation. Develop comprehensive control panel designs using AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar software. Create detailed electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout drawings in accordance with UL508A standards. Generate accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs) for control panel components. Interpret project specifications, electrical codes, and customer requirements to design suitable panels. Select appropriate components for AC/DC circuits, motor circuits, VFDs, PLCs, and industrial networks. Design panels for hazardous (Class I Div 1 & 2) locations in compliance with industry standards. Conduct SCCR, heating, and cooling calculations and select related components accordingly. Provide technical support to the control panel shop during assembly and wiring to ensure design accuracy. Review designs for compliance, accuracy, and constructability. Adhere to electrical safety standards (NEC, NFPA, UL). Provide technical support during start-up and commissioning. Experience Bachelor's in Electro-Mechanical Engineering. 5+ years of experience in electrical design with a focus on UL508A-compliant control panels. Strong understanding of electrical theory, power distribution, industrial automation, and control systems. Knowledge of
