Job Description

Targeting 5+ years of mechanical design engineering experience, although experience level is flexible for a particularly strong candidate. Experience in equipment design - specifically in fabrication because we take sheet metal and turn it into a product Strong background in equipment design, especially involving sheet metal fabrication and fabricated assemblies Experience in a metal, fabrication and or assembly environment (Experience designing machinery, equipment, mechanical assemblies is ideal) Inventor (Autodesk) is preferred (Solidworks is acceptable) 2D & 3D drawings Decision maker Experience w/ product lines Understanding the accuracy of bills of materials, and how if a part is forgotten or dimension then it ripples down the line We are designing down the nut and bolt, there must be an understanding of this Understanding of motion background like electrical motors, gears, belts Assembly line equipment can be applicable experience, we don't do assembly line, but it is repetitive operation Stress analysis - why a piece of metal needs to be a certain thickness and why it must go together a certain way Pneumatics more important than hydraulics, we try to not to use hydraulics unless necessary because the oil is a containment to our process Nice-to-Have Skills Plasma CNC experience preferred Waterjet cutting exposure beneficial Ladder Logic knowledge is a plus, but not required Robotics exposure is beneficial, though not a dealbreaker

$90,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
