Design and Analysis group is seeking a mechanical engineer to work on designs supporting spent fuel shipping containers. The successful candidate would perform mechanical system and hardware design, finite element analysis, as well as supporting the fleet of spent fuel containers. The candidate would work with a diverse team of engineers, scientists, project managers, and shipyards to support the Naval Reactors program. Required Combination of Knowledge and Skill Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university in a related technical, engineering or science field and a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience; or Masters degree from an accredited college or university in a related technical, engineering or science field and a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience; or Doctorate degree from an accredited college or university in a related technical, engineering or science field and a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience; or Currently a Senior Reactor Training Engineer, Refueling Engineer, or Field (RPCO) Engineer at the Company. Preferred Skills Design Experience with NNPP components. Ability to lead a small team. Motivation to pursue advances in technology, make decisions, and deliver results.
