Location:
Hartford, CT Office. This is a hybrid role, with a schedule of 3 days in the office and 2 days working remotely each week. Job Description The Engineer - Equipment Technology Lab will be responsible for transferring & analyzing data from various platforms and software environments, creating actionable changes and improvements to the business. Provides subject matter expertise on data processing, analysis and storage best practices. Participates in providing innovative project and business efficiency solutions and has strong team collaboration. Researches and identifies emerging equipment technology trends. Ability to communicate written and verbal data and technology outcomes effectively. Education and Experience Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Computer Science is required Master's degree in Engineering or related discipline is a plus 5+ years of experience working in Engineering or Technology Experience with one or more programming languages including but not limited to: Python, R, C/C++, SQL, Linux Experience with integration of IoT technologies a plus Experience or knowledge of the insurance industry a plus Knowledge and Skills Proficiency in one or more programming languages Strong problem solving and analytical skills Communication skills Time management skills At The Hartford Steam Boiler, a subsidiary of Munich Re, we see Diversity and Inclusion as a solution to the challenges and opportunities all around us.
