What You'll Do As a Mechanical Engineer / Designer, you will: Develop and revise mechanical engineering drawings, plans, specifications, calculations, and technical reports. Support projects through planning, design, permitting, bidding, and construction. Help create practical engineering solutions that meet client needs, project requirements, and applicable codes. Prepare detailed drawings using AutoCAD and other discipline-specific design software. Review designs and calculations for accuracy, constructability, coordination, and code compliance. Coordinate mechanical designs with architectural, structural, electrical, plumbing, and other project disciplines. Participate in site visits to document existing conditions and monitor construction progress. Assist with equipment selection, system layouts, schedules, details, and construction documentation. Communicate with project managers, clients, contractors, review agencies, and other project stakeholders. Contribute to technical specifications, reports, project correspondence, and permit submissions. Participate in client meetings, design reviews, construction meetings, and project presentations as your experience grows. Manage assigned tasks and schedules while keeping project leadership informed of progress. Perform quality-control reviews to help ensure every deliverable meets company and client standards. Preferred Qualifications Three or more years of experience in mechanical engineering, building-systems design, drafting, or a related field. Experience with commercial, healthcare, educational, institutional, municipal, or industrial projects. Proficiency with AutoCAD or comparable computer-aided design software. Familiarity with mechanical engineering calculations and discipline-specific analysis tools. Understanding of construction documents, building systems, and constructability considerations. Familiarity with applicable building codes, design standards, and permitting requirements. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
