- What You Will Do
- As a Mechanical Design Engineering Intern at Collins Aerospace, you will: + Design mechanical components and assemblies with a focus on manufacturability, reliability, and maintainability.

Advanced Mechanical Design:
Enhance your ability to create designs that are efficient, reliable, and tailored for manufacturability and maintainability. +CAD Proficiency:
Develop expertise in using NX software to prepare and release precise mechanical designs. +Material and Supplier Evaluation:
Learn how to assess materials and parts and build strong communication skills for supplier collaboration. +Team Collaboration:
Gain experience working in a cross-functional team environment, contributing to design solutions and participating in collaborative design reviews. +Engineering Analysis:
Strengthen your ability to perform detailed engineering calculations and support analytical designs through problem-solving. +Validation Tools and Methodologies:
Master the use of essential engineering tools such as prototype builds and DFMA to ensure robust and high-performing designs. +Aerospace Applications:
Develop an understanding of the unique challenges of aerospace engineering and how FAA requirements drive a variety of testing to replicate "real world scenarios" to ensure passenger safety.- Qualifications You Must Have
- + Must be pursuing a Bachelor's or Advanced degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) major and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship/co-op session.

- + A degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering + Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and/or Outlook) + Experience managing projects and working on cross-functional teams + A minimum of 60 hours of credit by the start of the internship / co-op session + Prior RTX internship, co-op, or work experience

Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. - The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD.
