Mechanical Engineer (MEP Design) | 100% Remote Design Innovative Building Systems From Anywhere We're seeking a talented Mechanical Engineer to join a growing engineering consulting team specializing in commercial, healthcare, education, retail, and institutional projects. This is a 100% remote opportunity offering the flexibility to work from home while contributing to impactful projects across multiple industries. Responsibilities Design HVAC, chilled water, hot water, ventilation, and mechanical building systems for a variety of projects. Prepare engineering calculations, plans, specifications, and construction documents. Utilize AutoCAD and Revit to develop and coordinate designs. Collaborate with architects, engineers, and designers throughout all phases of project development. Manage and support multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring quality and schedule commitments are met. Review designs for compliance with applicable building codes, standards, and industry best practices. Participate in project meetings and coordinate with clients and project stakeholders. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering. 5+ years of experience in MEP consulting or mechanical building systems design. Strong background in HVAC system design and mechanical engineering principles. Proficiency with AutoCAD; Revit experience is highly preferred. Knowledge of building codes, energy standards, and construction documentation. Excellent communication and project coordination skills. Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment. Preferred Qualifications EIT or PE License. Experience with healthcare, educational, commercial, retail, or institutional facilities. Familiarity with sustainable and energy-efficient building design. Project management experience and client-facing responsibilities. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of New York, NY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $140000.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
