Job Description
Systems West Engineers is seeking a Mechanical Engineer/Project Manager to join our consulting engineering firm. An interview for this position requires candidates to have previous experience in mechanical building systems design and be a registered professional engineer (PE required). Systems West Engineers (SWE) is seeking a technically adept engineer and motivated leader to join our Division of Engineering as a Project Manager. We are a collaborative team of engineers, designers, and technicians who are passionate about technical excellence and building relationships that drive meaningful outcomes in alignment with our mission, vision, and values. As a consulting engineer Project Manager at SWE, you will be responsible for leading multidisciplinary design projects. Key competencies for this position include: Technical Expertise Broad, mechanical design experience with institutional facilities and complex building systems, including: HVAC systems Central plants, including boilers, chillers, and steam systems Utility distribution systems Healthcare and laboratory environments Emotional Intelligence and Relationships Builds trust through self-awareness, active listening, clear communication, and consistent follow-through.
