Alliance, Ohio Key Job Responsibilities:
Design and develop custom-designed mechanical systems for metals, metals forming and related industries Lead the mechanical system design from concept through release, ensuring adherence to the client specifications. Create detailed mechanical drawings, schematics, and layouts primarily using Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD in both 2D and 3D formats. Select and specify mechanical components and materials, managing bills of materials (BOM) to ensure accuracy. Collaborate with engineering teams to address design requirements, technical challenges, and support project goals. Optimize designs to enhance efficiency, reliability, manufacturability, cost-effectiveness, and competitiveness in the marketplace. Juggle multiple projects simultaneously while upholding high standards of quality.Essential Skills:
Proficient in producing 2D and 3D mechanical drawings, preferably with Autodesk Inventor or other equivalent 3D software. Training on Inventor is available for those proficient in other platforms. Ability to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented engineering environment. Strong communication skills are crucial; candidates should feel comfortable engaging in both written and verbal discourse with SES team members. Preparedness to thrive in a fast-paced, customer-focused setting. Highly motivated with a knack for developing innovative solutions that meet customer needs. Capable of performing basic machinery design calculations Background knowledge of steel mill equipment and related processes is beneficial. Familiarity with hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, and electrical control systems is a plus.Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is preferred, though candidates with substantial work experience will also be considered. A minimum of 5 years of experience in machine design is required, ideally within the metals industry focusing on heavy equipment This position is an in-person opening and not remote employment.
