Develop software solutions to seamlessly integrate
GT-SUITE
software (including real-time solvers). Communicate effectively with development and applications teams toward general improvement of the software. Update existing solvers to incorporate new technologies. Optimize cross-platform (Windows-Linux-QNX) solver deployment by designing Makefiles and automating builds with Perl/Python scripts. Diagnose and resolve timing, memory, and IPC-related issues in real-time simulation workflows. Develop generalized controls and machine learning solutions. Develop solutions to integrate MBD solutions into system level solutions.
Technical Environment:
High fidelity physics-based simulation; Model integration and validation; consultative technical support; software development in Windows and Linux environments; Fortran, C, and Python; setting up builds using CMAKE and Makefiles; MBD and vehicle dynamics; Co-Simulation; Matlab and Simulink. Requirements Ph.D. or ABD in Mechanical Engineering or related field plus 2 years of graduate research experience in mechanical engineering required.
Required skills:
High fidelity physics-based simulation; Model integration and validation; consultative technical support; software development in Windows and Linux environments; Fortran, C, and Python; setting up builds using CMAKE and Makefiles; MBD and vehicle dynamics; Co-Simulation; Matlab and Simulink. Less than 5% travel to attend industry conferences and company sponsored trade shows required. Some telecommuting permitted.
