We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer for our aerospace client located in Mukilteo. You will be focused on designing tooling and mechanical systems for aerospace robotics. This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in mechanical design, tooling development, and robotic systems looking to further their career in precision engineering. Design, prototype, and test complex mechanical systems and automated tooling for aerospace and robotic platforms; develop innovative solutions and conduct experimental testing Troubleshoot technical issues with automated systems; analyze performance reports and customer feedback to determine root causes and drive solutions Lead project execution, manage cross-functional teams (manufacturing, quality, integration), and mentor junior engineers on design and development tasks Develop precision jigs, fixtures, and tooling systems with expertise in GD&T, tolerance analysis, and production-scale deploymentESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
8+ years of mechanical engineering experience with hands-on expertise in design, prototyping, fabrication, and testing of mechanical systems Advanced proficiency with 3D CAD tools (CATIA, SolidWorks, or similar) Expertise in tolerance analysis (GD&T), FEA, and design for manufacturability (DFM/DFA) Expertise in aerospace automated tooling Experience with the design and implementation of advanced jigs, fixtures, and automated or semi-automated tooling systems for aerospace applicationsBONUS QUALIFICATIONS CATIA
