Updated 06/2026 Job Description Job Summary Develops and supports highly complex equipment and tooling solutions for aerospace production systems, including design, integration, validation, and lifecycle management. Ensures compliance with engineering, safety, and regulatory requirements while supporting production efficiency and technical performance. Requirements Education & Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or related field, and typically 9+ years of related work experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience using Microsoft Office and office computing systems
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen Preferred Skills
  • Experience with Model-Based Definition, CATIA, ENOVIA, and PDM
  • Familiarity with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
  • 10 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Master's degree + 7 years of experience, or PhD + 4 years of experience
  • Experience supporting product lifecycle activities with internal teams, suppliers, and external customers Job Duties & Functions
  • Design, analyze, and modify aerospace manufacturing equipment and tooling to meet stakeholder and production requirements
  • Develop highly complex tooling and equipment concepts, including alternative solutions for production system integration
  • Validate technical data and influence engineering design decisions to support manufacturing processes
  • Research and integrate robotics, automation, and emerging technologies into tooling and equipment strategies
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop bids and procurement specifications
  • Estimate, plan, and execute acquisition and modification of tooling and equipment assets
  • Develop and implement testing and acceptance criteria to validate performance requirements
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including preventative maintenance plans and training materials
  • Implement interim solutions for damaged or non-compliant equipment and tooling
  • Investigate engineering changes and manage configuration control of tooling and equipment systems
  • Lead production readiness activities, including gated reviews and milestone validation
  • Support Make/Buy decisions and coordinate with Procurement to meet cost, schedule, and quality objectives
  • Ensure compliance with safety, reliability, maintainability, ergonomic, and regulatory requirements
  • Develop reliability improvements using engineering analysis and tooling methodologies
  • Maintain configuration control of hardware, software, and associated documentation
  • Conduct asset evaluations and recommend disposition strategies Physical Requirements & Environment

  • Operate within standard first shift hours with occasional off-shift support as needed
