Role As a Rotating Equipment Engineer within our Worldwide Engineering and Construction (WWE&C) division, you will provide subject matter expert engineering support for Eastman manufacturing plants worldwide. Projects consist of small, fast-paced requests to large, long-range capital projects and study jobs. You will provide support for the Capital Program, Plant Engineering, Machinery Analysis Team, Maintenance and Construction efforts. This role will cover a broad range of rotating equipment (pumps, fans, compressors, blowers, turbines, etc.) and support systems (lubrication, sealing systems, mechanical and power systems, etc.) Responsibilities Safety and StandardsDemonstrate a strong commitment to personal and process safety.



Provide subject matter expertise for machinery specific standards and involvement in industry standards organizations (PIP, API, ASME, ANSI).

Serve as rotating equipment SME for plant operations support:


Participate in equipment troubleshooting, failure investigations, root-cause analyses, and development of corrective actions. Assist with equipment inspections, maintenance planning, repair recommendations, and replacement decisions. Support equipment startups, shutdowns, turnarounds, commissioning, and return-to-service activities.

Serve as rotating equipment lead on capital projects: Support the selection, specification, installation, testing, and commissioning of new or modified rotating equipment. Review equipment datasheets, drawings, vendor documents, performance curves, inspection reports, and repair records. Collaborate with vendors and contractors and participate in witness testing with both internal and external shops Provide SME support to procurement efforts through AML updates.

Mentor and provide guidance/training for less experienced engineersVersatility and AdaptabilityNavigate multiple environments (office, operation/production area, maintenance shop, external repair shop) to accomplish project priorities

Travel/Off-Shift SupportSome periodic travel (up to 5%) (domestic & international) may be requiredOccasional off-shift support may be required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree (or higher) in Mechanical Engineering

2+ years relevant professional experience supporting rotating equipment required

Self-motivated individual with a strong willingness to continue learning through fast-paced Chemical Process Industry projects.

Excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational, visualization, and hands-on experience.

Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively in a team environment.

Navigate multiple environments (office, operation/production area, maintenance shop, external repair shop) to accomplish project priorities

Lead cross-functional working teams with effective group facilitation and collaboration What will make you stand out: Professional Engineering (PE) License

Experience working on Capital Projects

Level 2 or higher vibration analysis training Note
