Design Engineer Job Description:
Using SolidWorks, responsible for 3D/2D Design activities required for Current and New Products in any of the following areas: New Product Development, Testing, Manufacturing.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND ACTIVITIES
Create designs and detail drawings independently or along with a team of engineers and designers, using Solidworks software. Ensure that the design is created in accordance with required specifications. May assist in building a prototype of the intended vehicle for testing and approval. Make modifications and/or integrate new improvements into new designs or existing designs to improve their performance. integrate new technology and make more cost effective. Integrate new improvements into designs and with the quality assurance team to ensure that required quality standards are adhered to. Interact with sales and customers, on design specifications, to ensure total satisfaction. Assist in the creation and improvement of company wide process documentation. Supports and participates in Morgan Olson's PPS team efforts. Adheres to Quality policy by exceeding customer expectations, being customer focused and supporting continuous improvement activities. Adheres to Safety policies and practices behavioral based safety 100% of the time. Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
1-3 years of recent Design/CAD experience required Solidworks experience highly preferred Solidworks Professional Certifications a plus Design/Engineering degree preferred Experience with JD Edwards ERP a plus Benefits Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k) Company paid life insurance 10 company paid holidays Vacation and personal time Equal Opportunity Employer #LI-CM2
