Macawber Engineering, Inc., , a well-established industrial equipment manufacturer with more than 45 years in business, is looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join our Engineering Department and work closely with our Engineering Manager and drafting team. We design and manufacture custom industrial equipment, so the work is varied and often challenging. This position is ideal for an engineer who enjoys solving practical problems, taking ownership of projects, and seeing designs progress from concept through manufacturing and operation. We are looking for someone who is mechanically capable, organized, confident working with others, and comfortable taking the lead when needed . You should enjoy helping others succeed while maintaining high standards for accuracy and quality. What You Will Do Design equipment, components, assemblies, and layouts using SolidWorks Support the Engineering Manager and drafting team Participate in custom equipment projects from design through execution Perform engineering calculations and determine design parameters Review designs and drawings for accuracy and manufacturability Help coordinate engineering activities and resolve design issues Work closely with manufacturing, purchasing, sales, and project personnel What We Are Looking For Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent relevant education and experience 5+ years of mechanical design or related engineering experience preferred Strong SolidWorks and mechanical design skills Practical engineering problem-solving ability Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines Good interpersonal and communication skills Initiative and willingness to take responsibility and help guide others Why Join Us?
