Job Description

MUST BE LOCAL TO BELTON OR CENTRAL TEXAS AREA
Position Description:
Project Engineer Job Description This is a very fast-paced, complex custom-project environment. ECS is growing rapidly and we're seeking highly motivated team members. The candidate will be responsible for interpretation of project specifications and generation of all required technical documentation associated with assigned projects. This may include developing or validating process / performance design, generating specifications for buy-out components, generating O&M manuals, guiding the drafting team in creation of drawing packages, creating P&ID's and PFD's, Bills of Material, and other responsibilities depending on each project's specifications. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal and organizational skills, and will be comfortable managing multiple project assignments at a time. Responsibilities
  • Interpret and break down project specifications
  • Specify buy-out components; solicit bids and data from suppliers and effectively assess options
  • Guide drafting team in creation of submittal drawings & models
  • Generate detailed project bills of material
  • Complete project milestones on schedule
  • Proactively flag potential schedule or cost overruns
  • Suggest effective cost and schedule savings opportunities and overrun mitigation strategies
  • Identify potential performance risks and mitigation strategies
  • Generate O&M manuals
  • Participate in client conference calls when required by project coordinators
  • Resolve technical challenges
  • Monitor project deliverables status
  • Manage client change requests
  • Execute project deliverables on-time and adhere to scope commitments
  • Use business systems and tools as directed by the company (CRM, project management software, etc)
  • Effectively communicate individual project status updates Qualifications
  • BS in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience is preferred
  • Experience in Air Pollution Control or related industries is a plus
  • Strong verbal, written, and organizational skills
  • MS Office and general business systems capabilities Location & Hours
  • This is a full-time position working Monday through Friday during regular working hours in our Belton, TX office
