We currently have a great opportunity for an Engineer on our TRATON USA's R D Team. We are seeking an Engineer with any level of experience and technical background that includes validation and testing. This candidate will receive test requests and participate in cross-functional meetings involving fasteners and mechanical testing. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be willing to work in a team environment with more and less experienced peers and be able to recognize when their own knowledge is lacking - all to facilitate critical and correct analysis of complex, difficult or ambiguous materials or fastener related problems. Preferably the candidate should have 1 to 2 years' validation engineering experience, in automotive, commercial, or off-road vehicle industries.

Industry Experience:

Responsibilities Independent work in the core area of responsibility for the Material Laboratories and team. Apply knowledge of engineering basics to engineering, testing, innovation, manufacturing, and outside test services. Contribute to internal queries and research projects. Evolve material engineering procedures and specifications in area of responsibility. Support development of the material engineering specifications, procedures, and standards for all International. Domestic and International travel is required 10% of the time.
