The Georgetown campus is a high-tech, eco-friendly operation powered by rooftop solar, LED lighting, and rainwater recycling. Job Summary We are seeking a proactive and skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our manufacturing team in Georgetown, TX. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between design and production, focusing on the improvement of manufacturing methods, equipment reliability, and product quality. You will be responsible for creating, testing, and troubleshooting mechanical systems and ensuring adherence to engineering standards. Key Responsibilities Design mechanical components, assemblies, and tooling using 3D CAD software (SolidWorks/Creo). Implement manufacturing methods and processes to improve product efficiency and yield. Evaluate and troubleshoot mechanical faults, conducting root cause analysis on production failures. Create and maintain detailed drawings, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and engineering change orders (ECOs). Lead small-to-mid-scale engineering projects, from concept through deployment. Partner with electrical, controls, and production teams to optimize system design for manufacturing (DFM). Develop and test plans, including thermal, structural, or vibration analysis. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering 2-7 years of experience in manufacturing, industrial machinery, or a similar environment Proficiency in 3D CAD modeling (SolidWorks, Creo, or Siemens NX) Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing), material selection, and fabrication processes Experience with mechanical assembly and troubleshooting in a laboratory or factory setting Desired Skills & Qualifications Experience in the AMA manufacturing sectors. Familiarity with Agile hardware development environments. Knowledge of
ASME/ASTM
standards.
