Key Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Work closely with Tool Room supervisor(s) to schedule and coordinate daily activities of both personnel and tooling equipment. 2. Maintain the ability to operate tool equipment safely. 3. Mentor, teach and lead personnel to follow proper processes and procedures. 4.
Work assignments:
Evolving problem-solving abilities; troubleshoot mold issues in and out of the press, communicate to new product development on what works and what not to do. 5. Utilize and teach best machining and production practices. 6. Maintain all applicable documentation and accurate records for mold history through EAM. 7.
Decision making:
Decision making of moderately challenging problems and assist other personnel in general shop duties. 8. Follow corporation, department, environmental, quality and safety programs, including the use of PPE. 9. Follow company policies, procedures and guidelines including the company handbook. 10.
Issue Resolution:
Recognize when escalation is appropriate; offer mold, plant and companywide continuous improvement suggestions. 11.
Problem solving:
Evolving problem-solving abilities Be actively involved in Continuous Improvement; is expected to promote and sustain any/all CI, 5S and STW activities. 12.
Leadership:
Works independently and proactively brings solutions to leader; Works more autonomous with limited guidance from leader; Upholds responsiveness guidelines; Key contributor and emerging leadership role on team; Ability to serve as a leader, part of a team, and productively on their own, based on the circumstances 13.
Accountability:
Takes responsibility for decisions, actions and results 14. Other duties as assigned. Performance Measures and Outcomes 1. Safety metrics 2. Legacy injection mold preventative maintenance compliance a. Unplanned downtime Education/Certification Level Required High school diploma or equivalent Level Desired Bachelor's degree - Engineering Journey mold maker Work Experience Required Desired
  • 3-5 years of related Tool Room/Mold Shop experience
  • 1-3 years of experience with CNC programming and operations
  • 1-3 years of experience with applicable CAD experience
Experience:
Solid foundation of skills with growth potential Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities 1. Safety sensitive position - ability to work in a constant state of alertness and a safe manner. 2.
Communication skills:
Articulates messages clearly to broader audience and in a variety of settings; Prepares presentations and communications that are widely understandable; Ability to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace. 3.

Ability to be available outside of normal work hours. 5. Ability to work from an elevated platform up to 40 feet. 6. Ability to complete any required training and any corresponding company required work instruct ions for this position. 7. procedures. 9. Ability to read, understand and communicate all safety and operational procedures. 10. Ability to maintain satisfactory attendance and performance by ORBIS Corporation standards. 11. Ability to decipher 3D engineering models, including isolation, extract and program to create needed components. 12. Commitment to excellence and high standards. 13.
