Description:
Position Summary Provide mechanical engineering and asset integrity support focused on improving equipment reliability, reducing operational risk, and resolving recurring mechanical vulnerabilities across Client and related facilities. The role will support reliability investigations, integrity assessments, vulnerability management, and development of sustainable solutions for chronic equipment issues. Key Responsibilities Support troubleshooting of mechanical reliability issues involving rotating and static equipment. Lead or support root cause failure analyses (RCFAs), failure investigations, and vulnerability assessments. Identify, assess, and drive closure of recurring equipment reliability and integrity risks. Support inspection planning, fitness-for-service evaluations, repair strategies, and life-extension assessments. Provide technical support for Management of Change (MOC), incident investigations, and turnaround planning and execution. Develop and implement long-term reliability improvement plans for critical equipment and systems. Support mechanical integrity programs for pressure equipment, piping systems, valves, heat exchangers, fired equipment, and rotating machinery. Coordinate with Operations, Maintenance, Reliability, OEMs, contractors, and external engineering resources to resolve technical issues. Support Train 1 stabilization efforts and Train 2 startup readiness activities. Qualifications B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. 8+ years of experience in Client, upstream oil & gas production facilities, gas processing, refining, petrochemical, or related energy facilities. Experience with HRSGs and STGs a plus. Strong background in mechanical integrity, equipment reliability, failure analysis, and risk-based decision making. Experience with pressure vessels, piping systems, valves, heat exchangers, fired equipment, compressors, pumps, turbines, and other critical plant assets. Working knowledge of RBI, fitness-for-service, inspection planning, damage mechanisms, and industry standards (API, ASME, etc.). Demonstrated ability to convert equipment failures and identified vulnerabilities into sustainable reliability improvements.
