Senior Mechanical Engineer -
Product Development Location:
Austin, TX We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer with 5-7+ years of experience in new product development to join an innovative engineering team focused on bringing products from concept through production. This role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse range of consumer, medical, industrial, and electro-mechanical products. Responsibilities Lead the design and development of mechanical and electro-mechanical products from concept through manufacturing. Develop and evaluate design concepts through engineering analysis, prototyping, and testing. Create 3D CAD models, drawings, BOMs, and production documentation. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, clients, suppliers, and manufacturing partners. Support project execution, technical problem-solving, and mentoring of junior engineers. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related field. 5-7+ years of mechanical engineering experience in a product development environment. Strong proficiency with SolidWorks, Creo, or similar CAD software. Experience designing mechanical systems, precision mechanisms, and electro-mechanical assemblies. Knowledge of manufacturing processes including machining, sheet metal, injection molding, and additive manufacturing. Strong understanding of Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA). Experience creating engineering drawings, BOMs, and release packages. Hands-on prototyping and testing experience. Strong communication and project management skills. Preferred Experience serving as a technical lead or project lead. Experience mentoring junior engineers. Background working with industrial design teams. Experience with medical devices, consumer products, industrial equipment, or robotics.
Pay:
$130,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year
