- Northrop Grumman's Defense Systems sector is seeking a Staff Mechanical Engineer on the Command Systems Hardware team.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Create and implement deployable mechanical mechanisms that are verified through test/analysis Develop CAD models visualizing various design solutions Implement program processes and engineering board approval processes for developed PDPs Deliver required PDPs on time to meet program objectives Integrate Infrastructure Integration PDPs with the various element teams to proactively eliminate disconnects and design clashes Identify gaps within a design and/or requirements and provide a resolution that is cost effective, innovative, and has minimal impact to others Ensure the developed PDPs meet the design requirements from the various element/configured item specifications Support digital transformation initiatives relating to PDP development and releaseBasic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related STEM discipline Minimum of 12 years of relevant experience U.S. citizen Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business Experience with design/fabrication techniques for structural details, assemblies, and/or installations Experience with 3-D modeling tools Experience using product lifecycle management (PLM) toolsPreferred Qualifications:
Active Secret clearance at time of application, current and within scope ICBM Experience Experience in creating a Product Definition Package (PDP) or PDP like products Experience with theASME Y14.X
suite of engineering drawing standards Ability to work closely with multiple functional organizations (Engineering, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Field Operations, etc.)Primary Level Salary Range:
$139,000.00- $208,600.
