Your impact We're seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Arlington, VA. As part of our team, you'll have the chance to work on projects that bring innovative solutions to our clients' challenges locally and worldwide by providing a range of skills as part of an integrated building services design.
Your role will include:
Developing overall Conceptual and Basis of Design level design approaches and documentation. Developing HVAC and plant utility systems philosophies. Developing mechanical / utility equipment and construction specifications. Performing temperature / humidity control / utility load calculations. Developing airflow diagrams, pressurization plans, and classification, as well as ductwork and piping plans. Developing equipment plans, plant utility distribution plans, and system details. Developing building management system (BMS) control philosophy, details, and Sequence of Operations. Performing construction assistance in the form of submittal reviews, RFI responses, and field visits to verify construction of Mechanical / Utilities scope is executed per the intent of the design and assisting in start-up of systems when required. Traveling as required for client development and project implementation.- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical engineering
- Engineer in Training certification (EIT)
- At least 6 years of relevant professional experience for HVAC/Mechanical buildings-related design projects (Federal including DoD, Federal Civilian and/or Defense Contractor project experience preferred).
- Experience working in a multi-discipline environment
- Experience with Revit
- Proficiency in load calculation / energy modeling software such as Trace 3D Plus, Carrier HAP, etc.
