Type:

full-time Top Secret Mechanical Design Engineer This is a mechanical design engineer supporting defense and aerospace hardware programs. The hiring manager is not looking for a pure manufacturing engineer, maintenance engineer, or project engineer. The ideal profile is someone who has designed and developed complex mechanical or electromechanical hardware used in aerospace, defense, robotics, optical systems, weapons systems, satellites, sensors, or other high-reliability environments. Day-to-Day Design mechanical components and assemblies using CAD (likely Creo) Develop electromechanical products from concept through testing Work with electrical, systems, manufacturing, and test engineers Build and test prototypes in a lab environment Troubleshoot hardware issues and make design improvements Ensure designs meet performance, reliability, and manufacturability requirements Support product qualification and production readiness Must-Haves Active Top Secret Clearance Bachelor's Degree (Mechanical Engineering preferred) 6+ years of engineering experience Mechanical design experience Experience developing hardware products, not just supporting production Strong Plusses Creo / Pro

Electro-mechanical systems Precision mechanisms Actuators Gear trains Electro-optical systems Aerospace or defense experience Lab testing and hardware validation Compensation $50/hr to $70/hr Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Employees in this role will enjoy a comprehensive benefits package starting on day one of employment, including options for medical, dental, and vision insurance. Eligibility to enroll in the 401(k) retirement plan begins after 90 days of employment. Additionally, employees in this role will have access to paid sick leave and other paid time off benefits as required under the applicable law of the worksite location.
