Summary of Role:
GlobalFoundries is looking to hire Surface Prep (Wets) Equipment Maintenance Technicians to sustain and run the fab floor with primary responsibility of resolving equipment and process issues. Technician positions are hourly shift positions (nights or days) working a compressed week of 12-hour shifts. GlobalFoundries is a 24/7 manufacturing facility providing technician support across all shifts.
Essential Responsibilities include:
Monitor, control, and qualify 200 mm semiconductor equipment Perform basic preventive maintenance activities React to error messages of factory systems and/or equipment Process wafers using defined procedures Perform visual inspections (quality check) Recover from process and tool interruptions Identify and address potential areas for improvement and optimize tool availability, cycle time, utilization and cost Complete all required reporting and documentation Understand and follow all health, safety, and environmental procedures and requirements Actively participate in continuous improvement processes, learning and skills development Strong team member, able to work well with a global team, and other duties as assigned
Other Responsibilities:
Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs Other activities assigned by manager.
Required Qualifications:
Education
  • 2 Year Associates Degree in Engineering Discipline (Mechanical/Electrical) Experience
  • 18+ months of experience relevant/equivalent military experience Language Fluency
  • Fluency in English Language
  • Written & Verbal Physical Capacity Demands
  • 12-hour Alternate Work Schedule (Nights or Days) Experience in following standard work and procedure to carry out Preventative Maintenance Capable of using the proper PPE as needed to perform tasks within the Surface Prep module and follow all safety guidelines Experience in working on Long Term Downs (LTD), creating actions plans and executing Confirmable working around chemicals and following safety guidelines Capable working in a team atmosphere and indivisibly
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in Semiconductor Equipment Maintenance Experiences 4+ years on Surface Prep tools (STI, FSI, SEZ, STEAG, DNS, CFM or VIAFORM Cu Plating) Experience with use of chemicals and associate use of equipment
  • Diaphragm pumps, valves, sensors, and controls Actively participate in continuous improvement projects, learning and skills development Ability to read and comprehend schematics / blueprints / electrical diagrams Basic understanding of the principles of electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems. Expected Salary Range $58,400.00
  • $110,300.
