Job Description

Remote Senior Mechanical Design Engineer - Machinery We are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineer with a strong background in Machinery and rotating equipment design . This role will lead to the development of complex mechanical systems while providing technical leadership throughout the product lifecycle, from concept and design through manufacturing, testing, and field support. Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design and development of turbomachinery and rotating equipment, including compressors, turbines, pumps, and precision mechanical assemblies.
  • Drive projects through the complete product lifecycle, including design, manufacturing, assembly, testing, implementation, and continuous improvement.
  • Create and review 2D/3D CAD models, engineering drawings, BOMs, and design documentation while ensuring compliance with GD&T and
ANSI Y14.5
standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to deliver high-performance, reliable, and manufacturable products.
  • Perform root cause analysis, troubleshoot engineering issues, and implement corrective design solutions to improve product performance and reliability.
  • Provide technical leadership, mentor engineers and designers, and support engineering best practices across multiple projects.
  • Support project planning, technical reviews, configuration management, and engineering documentation within PDM systems. Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
  • 7+ years of mechanical design experience with a minimum of 2 years focused on machinery design.
  • Strong experience with rotating equipment, including turbines, compressors, pumps, or similar machinery.
  • Advanced knowledge of
GD&T, BPV
principles, and
ANSI Y14.5
standards.
  • Proficiency with 2D/3D CAD software, preferably SolidWorks.
  • Experience supporting products through manufacturing, assembly, testing, and field service.
  • Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and project execution skills. Preferred Experience
  • High-speed rotating equipment and precision machinery.
  • Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA).
  • Product Data Management (PDM) systems and configuration control.
  • Quality Management Systems (QMS).
  • Machining, fabrication, welding, and advanced manufacturing processes.
Travel:
