Job Description

1.0 SUMMARY Team Corporation has an immediate job opening for an Entry-Level or Experienced Mechanical Engineer I. We do almost all our design work using Autodesk Inventor solid modeling software. Occasionally we do some of our work in AutoCAD. Team Corporation designs and manufactures "vibration test equipment". Our website at Teamcorporation.com has examples of this equipment. It consists of unique hydraulic and mechanical components combined into custom systems. Most of these components are designed and manufactured by Team Corporation. This equipment is used by automobile manufacturers, aerospace companies, military test laboratories, and others to replicate different vibration conditions in the course of testing various products. This equipment is used to simulate earthquakes, the vibration experienced by a vehicle traveling over rough roads, the vibration of an aircraft in flight, vibration conditions as a satellite is launched to orbit, etc. We serve a variety of military, aerospace, and commercial customers located all over the world. 2.0 DUTIES
AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The mechanical engineering design and drafting work requires stress analysis, FEA modeling, creating layout drawings, detailed manufacturing drawings for use in the manufacturing process, and assembly drawings. Engineers develop designs based on customer requests that are received by the sales department. Familiarity with normal machine shop practices and mechanical design would be very useful in this position. The engineering department works directly with the manufacturing department that is located at the same facility. Assist in the design, testing, and development of mechanical systems and components. Support senior engineers in developing technical documentation. Conduct basic analysis and simulations. Participate in product testing and validation. Perform engineering calculations under supervision. GD&T, and material selection. Basic project and order coordination and time management. 3.0 SKILLS
AND SPECIFICATIONS
Mechanical Design - 3 years minimum applied experience. 3D solid modeling expertise - AutoDESK Inventor and AutoCAD preferred. Excellent customer service to both internal and external customers. FEA and Femap experience a plus. 4.0 EDUCATION
AND QUALIFICATIONS B.S.
degree in Mechanical Engineering or equal is required. 5.0 SCHEDULE
REQUIREMENTS
There will be some travel required, in the USA and to other countries. Assisting in our T&C (Test & Checkout) in a shop environment. Hybrid schedule agreed upon by the engineering manager. Flexibility adjusting hours occasionally to match the shop hours. 6.0 TEAM
