Job Description

Engineering Technician I & II Multiple Openings - Temporary /
Temp-to-Hire Location:
Camas, WA Schedule:
Monday-Friday, Day shift
Pay:
$25-$30/hr, depending on experience and level Position Overview We are hiring multiple Engineering Technicians at both Level I and Level II to support hands-on engineering and manufacturing projects in a fast-paced technical environment. Tech I candidates may have earlier-career production, mechanical, or electrical assembly experience and will perform routine technical tasks with guidance while continuing to build their skills. Tech II candidates should bring stronger hands-on technical experience and be comfortable working from schematics and technical documentation, troubleshooting issues, supporting testing, and working with greater independence. What You'll Do Build and assemble mechanical, electrical, and electromechanical products, prototypes, fixtures, equipment, and subassemblies. Perform mechanical assembly, electrical wiring, cabling, soldering, and wire harness assembly depending on project needs. Build and wire industrial electrical panels and control cabinets for applicable assignments. Perform wire cutting, stripping, crimping, routing, termination, and soldering. Work from engineering drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, assembly drawings, work instructions, and technical procedures. Support equipment startup, functional testing, basic calibration checks, qualification activities, and product verification. Inspect completed work for accuracy, workmanship, and compliance with specifications. Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, wiring, or assembly-related issues. Use hand tools, power tools, precision measuring equipment, and basic electrical test equipment. Maintain accurate build records, test information, equipment logs, and production documentation. Support root cause analysis, corrective actions, documentation updates, and process improvements as appropriate. Work closely with engineering, quality, production, and other technicians to meet project goals. Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused work environment. Tech I Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required. 1+ years of mechanical, manufacturing, production, or assembly experience preferred. Comfortable using hand and power tools. Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn. Electrical assembly candidates may have experience with: Wire harnesses Crimping and wire termination Cable routing Soldering Electrical panels or control cabinets Wiring diagrams or schematics Strong attention to detail and ability to follow detailed instructions and SOPs. Tech II Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required. 3+ years of relevant hands-on technical experience preferred. Previous experience as an Engineering Technician, Manufacturing Technician, Electronics Technician, Test Technician, or in a related hands-on technical role.
Experience with some combination of:
Mechanical or electrical assembly Wiring and cabling Soldering Wire harness assembly Electrical/control panels Testing and troubleshooting Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, technical drawings, work instructions, and SOPs. Comfortable using hand and power tools, precision measuring tools, and basic electrical test equipment. Ability to troubleshoot problems, document findings, and work with moderate independence. Pay:
$25.00 - $30.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
