Job Type:
Full-time Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to support the design, development, integration, and testing of radar enclosure systems and associated PCBAs for MESA-based products. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in SolidWorks, electronics enclosure design, PCBA packaging, CAD design, engineering drawings, and mechanical analysis. This role requires the ability to independently drive mechanical design projects from initial concept through delivery while collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering teams and external fabrication vendors. Key Responsibilities Perform radar enclosure and associated PCBA integration design for MESA-based products. Create detailed engineering drawings, CAD models, and design documentation. Perform thermal, structural, and modal analysis to validate design concepts. Conduct hand calculations and FEA simulations as required. Support product integration and field-testing activities. Conduct enclosure trade studies, sketches, and concept evaluations. Perform detailed mechanical design using SolidWorks. Analyze customer environmental specifications and tailor mechanical solutions accordingly. Perform tolerance analysis for complex mechanical assemblies. Design components and assemblies suitable for various fabrication and manufacturing processes. Manage fabrication vendors from prototype development through production. Implement and maintain Product Life Management (PLM) processes and controls. Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams on complex technology products. Independently manage design projects from initial concept through final delivery. Perform other related engineering tasks required to support business needs. Required Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience. 2-3 years of engineering experience in mechanical design and development. Proficiency with SolidWorks for mechanical design and drafting. Experience designing electronics enclosures, with an understanding of thermal, electrical, and environmental considerations. Knowledge of PCBA mechanical considerations and packaging. Experience designing parts for different fabrication and manufacturing processes. Ability to perform basic-to-moderate thermal, stress, and modal analysis for design concept validation. Experience with hand calculations and FEA simulations. Ability to perform tolerance analysis for complex assemblies. Demonstrated ability to independently take mechanical design projects from concept through delivery. Experience working on complex technology products requiring collaboration across multidisciplinary engineering teams.
