Job Description

Mechanical Design Engineer responsible for designing, analyzing, integrating, and supporting electro-mechanical components and systems for heavy-duty vehicle applications. Job Requirements Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited program. 3+ years of relevant engineering experience in heavy vehicle, automotive, or related industries. Experience designing or redesigning mechanical components for vehicle applications. Experience performing engineering analysis in support of component and system design. Experience with electro-mechanical system integration. Experience applying root-cause analysis and structured problem-solving methodologies. Experience with product testing, test laboratories, or hardware-in-the-loop testing environments. Experience creating engineering documentation and technical reports. Familiarity with data acquisition systems and post-processing techniques. Proficiency with 3D CAD modeling tools. Ability to work onsite full-time. Preferred Skills Experience with Creo. Experience with CATIA. Experience with Windchill. Experience with military combat or vehicle systems. Knowledge of video signal design and transmission systems. Experience integrating new components into existing vehicle platforms. Experience supporting prototype builds, validation, and production implementation. Experience with heavy-duty vehicle components and subsystems. Job Responsibilities Design and develop mechanical components for heavy-duty vehicle systems. Perform engineering analysis to evaluate component performance, reliability, and cost. Redesign existing components to support performance, packaging, or system requirements. Develop new components for integration into existing and future vehicle platforms. Create and maintain 3D CAD models and associated engineering documentation. Support electro-mechanical system integration activities. Provide engineering support for vehicle and component testing. Analyze test data and support root-cause investigations. Support hardware-in-the-loop and laboratory testing activities. Coordinate component integration and execution throughout the design and development lifecycle. Support design validation and verification activities. Maintain engineering data, models, and documentation in product lifecycle management systems.
