Position Summary The Senior Mechanical Engineer is responsible for providing technical leadership and expertise for vessel construction and repair. This position develops practical, cost-effective mechanical engineering solutions while collaborating with internal departments, customers, vendors, and regulatory agencies to ensure successful project execution. This role provides office-based design support and hands-on shipyard support to verify installations, resolve issues, and ensure mechanical, piping, and machinery systems meet requirements, standards, and regulations. Domestic travel may be required. Essential Functions Develop and review mechanical, piping, and machinery engineering deliverables (calculations, drawings, specifications, ECNs) Design and support mechanical, piping, and machinery systems for construction and repair while ensuring regulatory requirements Provide support reviewing installations, answering questions, and assisting with tests and troubleshooting Coordinate with internal departments, customers and vendors to support schedule, budget and delivery Other duties as assigned
