Seeking a Mechanical Designer with 5-10 years of CAD design experience to create mechanical designs, machines, fixtures, and tooling using SolidWorks/3D CAD . The role covers the full project lifecycle from design and development through assembly, testing, installation, and documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
Create/modify 3D CAD models and 2D manufacturing drawings Design machines, fixtures, tooling, and mechanical assemblies Apply GD&T and FMEA principles Select mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic components Work with engineering and manufacturing teams to resolve design issues Support projects through assembly, testing, and installation
Requirements:
5-10 years mechanical CAD design experience 3+ years designing jigs/fixtures in a manufacturing environment 3+ years of 3D CAD experience; SolidWorks preferred Knowledge of manufacturing processes and mechanical assemblies Familiarity with pneumatic/hydraulic systems Understanding of FMEA and GD&T Associate's/Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering/Design preferred
