Job Description

DESE Research, Inc. is seeking talented, motivated, and enthusiastic CAD / Creo Modelers to join our engineering team supporting mission-critical defense programs. This role focuses on developing and maintaining detailed CAD models using PTC Creo while supporting complex assemblies and engineering configuration management. Job Details:
The candidate will work as part of an engineering team developing, maintaining, and managing CAD models and assemblies using PTC Creo. Candidates should be comfortable understanding and navigating model-tree structures from individual parts through subassemblies and into Next Higher Assemblies (NHAs), as well as working with Windchill in both Creo and a web-browser environment. DESE is seeking candidates at multiple experience levels. Entry-level team members will primarily focus on day-to-day CAD modeling activities, while more experienced candidates may serve as a technical point of contact, brief customers and program stakeholders, and help train and develop other members of the modeling team. Candidates should be able to work effectively in a collaborative engineering environment and communicate technical information clearly to teammates and customers.
Responsibilities:
Develop, modify, and maintain CAD models using PTC Creo. Perform day-to-day modeling activities in support of engineering and program requirements. Understand and navigate model-tree structures encompassing individual parts, subassemblies, and Next Higher Assemblies (NHAs). Use Windchill within Creo and through a web browser to support product data and configuration management activities. Work collaboratively with engineers, modelers, program personnel, and other technical stakeholders. Support the development of technical presentations and PowerPoint charts for customer briefings. Participate in customer and program meetings using Microsoft Teams and other collaboration tools. Ensure CAD models and associated data are organized and maintained in accordance with program requirements. For senior-level candidates, brief customers and participate in Program Management Reviews (PMRs). For senior-level candidates, serve as a technical point of contact for modeling activities and provide training and mentorship to other members of the team.
Required Qualifications:
Experience with PTC Creo or similar professional CAD modeling software. Ability to understand CAD model-tree structures from individual parts through subassemblies and Next Higher Assemblies (NHAs). Strong attention to detail and ability to work with complex mechanical models and assemblies. Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative engineering team. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to obtain and maintain any security clearance required for the position.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience using Windchill within PTC Creo. Experience using Windchill through a web-browser interface. Experience developing and maintaining complex CAD assemblies. Experience working with hierarchical product structures involving parts, subassemblies, and higher-level assemblies. Experience creating and presenting PowerPoint charts to customers or program stakeholders. Experience participating in technical meetings and customer briefings. Experience supporting defense, aerospace, military, or other complex engineering programs. Experience serving as a technical point of contact or interfacing directly with customers. Experience briefing customers during Program Management Reviews (PMRs) or similar program reviews. Experience training or mentoring CAD modelers or other technical personnel. Ability to work independently while coordinating effectively with a broader multidisciplinary engineering team.
