We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Designer / Inventor Drafter to support the design and drafting of mechanical and heavy industrial equipment. This position is ideal for someone with strong hands-on Autodesk Inventor experience who can create accurate 2D and 3D models, assemblies, weldments, and manufacturing drawings. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, comfortable working independently, and able to turn sketches, existing drawings, and field measurements into accurate CAD designs. Responsibilities Create and modify 2D and 3D mechanical designs using Autodesk Inventor . Develop manufacturing drawings for assemblies, weldments, machined parts, and fabricated components. Create detailed drawings with dimensions, tolerances, BOMs, weld callouts, and fabrication details. Design and modify mechanical assemblies, weldments, and sheet metal components. Interpret sketches, existing drawings, and field measurements and translate them into accurate CAD models. Support the design and documentation of heavy industrial and mobile equipment. Make revisions and updates to existing designs and drawings. Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and fabrication teams to ensure designs are accurate and production-ready. Work efficiently in a Design Center environment while meeting project deadlines. Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail throughout the design process. Qualifications Associate degree or technical diploma in CAD, Drafting, Mechanical Design, or a related field preferred. 3+ years of mechanical drafting or design experience. 2+ years of hands-on Autodesk Inventor experience. Experience creating manufacturing drawings, assemblies, weldments, and machined parts. Strong 2D and 3D CAD skills. Experience with dimensions, tolerances, BOMs, weld callouts, and fabrication details. Experience with weldments, assemblies, and sheet metal. Ability to interpret sketches, drawings, and field measurements. Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently. Effective communication skills and a hands-on, "get it done" approach. Preferred Qualifications Experience with SolidWorks, Creo, NX, or Solid Edge . Knowledge of

GD&T / ASME Y14.5 . PDM/PLM

experience. Experience with heavy steel structures, hydraulics, electrical routing, or piping. Experience measuring existing equipment and recreating it in CAD. Experience with mobile or heavy industrial equipment.
