BIM TECHNICIAN
(Full-Time)

M-F POSITION OVERVIEW
ASDi is seeking a BIM Technician to join our structural engineering team. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD, with a preference towards candidates who have experience developing structural construction documents and models. Revit proficiency is a key component of this position. Candidates with advanced Revit skills and strong knowledge of BIM processes will be given preference. Knowledge of structural drafting is highly desirable.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop and maintain structural BIM (Revit) models.
  • Produce structural plans, sections, elevations, details, etc. at the direction of structural engineers.
  • Coordinate structural models and plans with Architectural, MEP, and other disciplines
  • Develop and maintain Revit families, templates, detail libraries, and other BIM tools (or assist with these tasks as experience and knowledge allows)
  • Review drawings and models for accuracy, completeness, and consistency with firm standards
  • Maintain and improve firm BIM standards and processes
  • Structural AutoCAD drafting as needed
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
  • Working knowledge of Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD
  • Experience producing technical drawings or construction documents
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate drawings
  • Ability to read and understand building plans from structural, architectural, and other disciplines.
  • Ability to collaborate with engineers and other team members
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of Revit, including development of families, templates, and libraries
  • Experience using Revit and AutoCAD in a structural engineering setting
  • Knowledge of structural drafting and detailing
  • Familiarity with structural building materials and construction
  • Experience with Bluebeam Revu
