Job Description

Title:
Senior Piping Designer KBR Sustainable Technology Solutions (STS) provides holistic and value-added solutions across the entire asset life cycle. These include world-class licensed process technologies, differentiated advisory services, deep technical domain expertise, energy transition solutions, high-end design capabilities, and smart solutions to optimize planned and operating assets. KBR is looking for a Senior Piping Designer u nder broad direction, function as a technical specialist who makes decisions and recommendations that are in line with project and industry standards. Provide coaching and mentorship for junior designers. Responsible for assigned areas on a project and may lead smaller projects assigned. This position is being advertised based on projected project workload and anticipated business needs. Functional job responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Responsible for design, specification and services related to piping systems and piping layout including piping material selection, piping material line classes, standard and specialty piping components, pressure, weight and thermal analysis of piping systems, vibration analysis and piping support systems. May lead of team of designers on multiple independent projects. Will be responsible for the overall budget, schedule, and quality of the piping group on assigned projects. Assist in conducting Piping reviews of all project packages prior to IFC to ensure that quality procedures were followed Review project design estimates and work scopes for each new project May execute work in a multi office environment
Required Education, Experience, & Skills:
Minimum 15 years of applicable industry piping/mechanical experience within the chemical and industrial industry Proficiency with 3D Piping software (PDMS preferred) & 2D MicroStation or AutoCAD is required. Experience in navigating 3D models with Navisworks. Experience in Microsoft (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc...) is required.
