Job Description
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The following duties are typical for this job. These are not to be constructed as exclusive or all inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned. Assist in creating Constructable 3D models based off P&ID's and other Engineering Documents Generate Construction Documents, Fabrication drawings, and Bill of Materials Create stratus packages and spools to support fabrication workflows Build and manage Navisworks/project files to support coordination and clash detection Support Industrial Database Actively increase knowledge base of construction methods, shop and detailing standards to improve professional abilities. Perform all core VDC Technician responsibilities with a higher level of proficiency, independence, and leadership.MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED TO PERFORM ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Associate's Degree/Diploma/Certificate from an accredited two-year college. Minimum of three years' experience with AutoCAD software. Experience with AutoCAD Plant 3D, Revit, and Navisworks Experience working with Construction Drawing and Industrial P&ID Drawings Understanding of Piping Materials, Schedules, Connection Types, Pipe Supports Thorough knowledge and understanding of process piping is preferred but not required.CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGIST RA T IONS
Valid driver's licenseMENTAL AND PHYSICAL COMPETENCIES REQUIRED TO PERFORM ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Excellent organization and communication skills Ability to perform quickly and effectively under pressure and deadlines Proven dependability Strong problem solving and leadership skills Must be proficient in AutoCAD, Excel, Bluebeam, and Outlook Ability to read construction documents, product literature, specifications and cut sheets Strong mechanical aptitude and good math skills Proven ability to partner with design teams and field personnel Ability to work on multiple projects and multi-task effectivelyENVIRONMENTAL ADAPTABILITY
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk working on a computer Must be able to lift 10 pounds occasionally May have occasional visits to a job site which would require periods of standing, walking and/or climbing stairs Occasional exposure to variety of temperature, weather and construction site conditionsEQUIPMENT/TOOLS
