Health Insurance, Dental Insurance, Vision Insurance, Life Insurance, 401(k), Retirement Plan, Paid Time Off We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Designer with 5+ years of hands-on experience to support projects from concept through production. This role will focus on complex sheet metal design, large assemblies, manufacturing-ready drawings, BOMs, and design automation while collaborating closely with project management, customers, and fabrication teams.Job Duties:
Create advanced sheet metal parts, enclosures, and weldments using SolidWorks.Develop and manage large mechanical assemblies and perform interference and clearance checks.
Utilize SolidWorks Design Tables and Excel to automate configurations and product variations.
Create detailed 2D manufacturing drawings, fabrication prints, and flat patterns.
Apply GD&T and tolerance stack-up analysis to ensure proper fit and function.
Create and maintain accurate BOMs and production documentation.
Collaborate with Project Managers, customers, and fabrication teams.
Manage revisions and engineering files through SolidWorks PDM.
Qualifications:
5+ years of professional mechanical design experience using SolidWorks in a production environment.Advanced SolidWorks skills, including parametric modeling, configurations, and large assemblies.
Strong sheet metal design experience, including K-factors and gauge tables.
Experience with laser cutting, CNC bending, welding, and machining processes.
Proficiency with GD&T and engineering drawings.
Experience with SolidWorks PDM and Microsoft Excel.
Associate degree in Mechanical Design, Drafting, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or equivalent hands-on experience.
