Drafting & CAD Technician

Baton Rouge, LA:

Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking a detail-oriented Drafting & CAD Technician to support engineering and manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for creating accurate 3D models and technical drawings for mechanical seals and related components using CAD software. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, solid mechanical understanding, and the ability to collaborate across multiple departments in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while maintaining accuracy, organization, and production support needs. Responsibilities Create 3D models and detailed drawings using Autodesk Inventor or similar CAD software Ensure drawings are accurate, properly dimensioned, and meet tolerancing requirements Select correct finish stock numbers and manufacturing data for production Provide technical support to departments including production, manufacturing, sales, customer service, and materials control Maintain and organize technical files, drawings, and engineering documentation Assist with calculations and technical information for customers and internal departments Meet project deadlines while maintaining accuracy and quality standards Work closely with team members to support production and engineering needs Qualifications Experience with solid-based CAD software such as Autodesk Inventor or SolidWorks Understanding of manufacturing processes and production environments Knowledge of quality assurance procedures and techniques Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines Professional communication and teamwork skills Previous experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment preferred

Pay:

$15.00 - $20.00 per hour
