Job Overview G.R. Stucker & Associates, Inc. (GRSA) is looking for a motivated individual to take on the role of Piping/Mechanical Drafter at our home office in Baton Rouge, Louisiana (remote options available). What you'll be doing: In this role, you'll be responsible for developing accurate piping and mechanical drafting deliverables using established design standards and practical drafting methods. You'll work closely with engineers, designers, and project teams to produce detailed 2D/3D drawings, ensure compliance with project requirements and industry codes, and support on-time delivery of design packages. This work will be performed under general supervision.

GRSA provides engineering services for the following disciplines: Process (Chemical) Mechanical Piping Civil/Structural Electrical and Instrumentation Materials, Corrosion, and Mechanical Integrity Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Contribute to an engineering team of professionals to provide accurate and efficient piping/mechanical drafting solutions for our clients. Completion of assignments in a timely and precise manner. Familiarity with and utilizing departmental drafting standards and templates. Create and update P&IDs, piping isometrics, equipment drawings, general arrangements (GAs), and other piping/mechanical deliverables as necessary. Conduct field walkdowns and incorporate as-built conditions into drawings. Develop mechanical integrity (MI) circuitization drawings, including piping circuits, inspection isometrics, and corrosion monitoring locations (CMLs). Support MI programs by drafting circuit boundaries, tagging systems, and integrating RBI (Risk-Based Inspection) data into deliverables. Ensure all deliverables comply with project specifications, ASME B31.3, API, ANSI, and client standards. Support senior designers and engineers with redline markups and revision control. The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications: Proficiency in AutoCAD; experience with AutoCAD Plant 3D or CADWorx preferred. Working knowledge of Navisworks for design reviews. Strong understanding of piping components, fittings, valves, supports, and P&ID symbols. Experience creating mechanical integrity circuitization drawings and inspection isometrics per
API 570/510/653.
Familiarity with circuitization standards, CML placement, and integration of inspection data into drafting deliverables. Familiarity with industry codes and standards (e.g., ASME
B31.3, ANSI, API 570, API 510, PIP
). Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, equipment drawings, and piping specifications. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time management skills. Effective communication and ability to collaborate within a team environment. Strong work ethic and commitment to quality deliverables. Willingness to perform occasional site visits and field verification.

Pay:
$60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
