We are seeking an Electrical Draftsman / Designer to support our estimating, project management, and field teams by creating and maintaining accurate electrical drawings and project documentation. This position is ideal for someone with an electrical or electrical engineering background who enjoys the technical and design side of construction. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of electrical systems and be proficient in AutoCAD and Bluebeam. What You'll Do Responsibilities may include: Create, revise, and maintain electrical drawings using AutoCAD Prepare electrical layouts, details, and construction drawings Review and mark up plans using Bluebeam Interpret architectural, electrical, mechanical, and construction documents Develop drawings for power, lighting, lighting controls, fire alarm, and other electrical systems Assist with design-build concepts and preliminary electrical layouts Incorporate field changes, RFIs, and project revisions into drawings Prepare and maintain accurate as-built and record drawings Coordinate drawings with project managers, estimators, field personnel, engineers, and other trades Assist with project takeoffs and other technical documentation as needed Apply applicable electrical codes and construction standards to drawings and designs Support project teams with drawing revisions and technical information throughout construction Qualifications Required Proficiency in AutoCAD Proficiency in Bluebeam Degree, technical education, or relevant work experience in electrical construction, electrical design, electrical engineering, or a closely related electrical discipline Working knowledge of electrical systems and electrical construction Ability to read and interpret architectural and electrical plans, specifications, and construction documents Strong attention to detail and accuracy Strong organizational and time-management skills Ability to manage multiple projects and drawing revisions simultaneously Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with office and field personnel High school diploma or equivalent Valid driver's license and ability to travel throughout the Twin Cities metro area as needed Ability to pass a background check, pre-employment drug screen, and post-accident drug testing requirements Preferred Associate or bachelor's degree in: Electrical Engineering Electrical Engineering Technology Electrical Design Electrical Construction Drafting/CAD with an electrical emphasis Related technical field Experience preparing electrical construction drawings Knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) Experience working for an electrical contractor, engineering firm, or within the construction industry Familiarity with design-build electrical projects Experience with AGi, EasyPower, Accubid, or similar electrical design and construction software Schedule Monday-Friday Flexible hours between 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM Compensation & Benefits Compensation based on experience, education, and qualifications.
