Job Description
Prepares documents and drawings for plant fabrication and builder erection of materials, based on the order documents, design package, and drafting procedures. They ensure the drafting is accurate, complete, and includes all appropriate drawings and documentation. The complexity of orders will consist mainly of moderate to high levels, with special assignments based on the drafter's abilities. The Senior Drafter mentors other drafters and employees by providing guidance on application and compliance of Chief's practices. This position also reviews documents prepared by other drafters to ensure compliance with Chief's procedures, followed by providing constructive feedback.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintain computer literacy in AutoCAD, FOCUS, MBS, IFS and other tools/systems available. Prepare erection drawings with accurate part identification, quantities, and complete sections and details for proper installation of materials. Prepare fabrication documents that include accurate part identification, quantities, material utilization, and complete information about holes, clips, and plates in assemblies. Keep accurate records of project hours, time worked, and group leader informed of schedule status and potential delays. Establish positive constructive communication with all stakeholders. Cultivate skills and practices to generate work products with high quality, efficiency, and service. Provide constructive feedback upon reviewing documents prepared by other drafters for compliance with Chief's procedures. Make recommendations to management for improving processes. Serve as a subject matter expert on multiple drafting processes and product applications.The Company:
