Job Description

The position of AutoCAD Drafter will have extensive knowledge of mechanical design, equipment design and sheet metal fabrication. The ideal candidate must be a proven analytical thinker, flexible, detail oriented and must possess the ability to complete tasks unsupervised, meet deadlines and have excellent organizational skills.
JOB RESPONSIBILITY SUMMARY
Prepares drawings of components, parts and assemblies. Ability to use Auto
CAD 2021
Inventor software to create accurate detailed drawings. Prepare drawings from engineering sketches, specifications, verbal direction, and supporting documents; developing a layout of the system, components and parts; identifying dimensions, angles, curvatures, tolerances, and materials in 2 and 3 Dimensional drawings. Modifies drawings by studying changes, redrawing system, components and parts, changing identifications, and files drawings appropriately. Prepares detailed parts listing for manufacturing. Resolves discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information; conferring with engineers, employees and customers, and field measurement of projects Maintains data base by entering data and completing backups.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES
Must have the ability to sketch by hand. Ability to interface well with all levels of the company and customer. Must have computer AutoCAD 2D, 3D and Drafting experience. Must be punctual and have good work ethic. Must be able to balance team and individual responsibilities. Ability to work independently, in a team environment, manage multiple projects and drive projects to the resolution. Experience with MS Office products, especially Excel, Word and Outlook. Must be able to understand, read and speak the English language. Employees are to supply ANSI approved toe protection footwear.
