Entry Level Drafter Job Description Join a dynamic team where you will utilize 2D Configura, similar to AutoCAD, to create detailed drawings for custom industrial safety cages, machine guards, and partitions. This role involves interacting with customers to understand their needs and guide them through project execution, including addressing inquiries about order status or installation processes. Responsibilities Create technical drawings using 2D Configura for custom industrial safety solutions. Communicate effectively with customers to understand and fulfill their project requirements. Provide support and guidance on order status and equipment installation. Design and draft safety cages, machine guards, and partitions. Maintain professionalism in customer interactions to represent the company positively. Qualifications Proficiency in CAD, specifically AutoCAD. Strong drafting skills, either from educational courses or practical job experience. Ability to interact and communicate effectively with customers. Mechanical understanding and design skills. Drafting certificate or Associate's Degree in Drafting. Experience with AutoCAD 2D, either in school or through previous employment. Work Environment This position is within a small, laid-back shop that specializes in designing and manufacturing safety cages, machine guards, and partitions for industrial applications. The work environment is flexible, especially for students, with office presence required five days per week initially. After demonstrating dependability over 2 to 3 months, remote work is possible up to two days a week. The dress code is casual, reflecting the relaxed atmosphere. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Franklin, KY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $26.00/hr.
