Job Title:
Mechanical Designer If interested contact "ellwest@actalentservices.com" Job Description As a Mechanical Designer, you will collaborate closely with Project Engineers to create and revise large assembly drawings, detail drawings, and sketches. You will utilize your expertise in CAD standards and tools to complete 2D drawings in Solidworks, Autodesk AutoCAD and 3D models in Autodesk Inventor within a regulated manufacturing environment. Your role involves applying knowledge of various manufacturing methods, engineering practices, mathematics, building materials, and other physical sciences to complete accurate and detailed drawings. Responsibilities + Collaborate with Project Engineers to develop and refine large assembly drawings, detail drawings, and sketches. + Utilize CAD standards and tools to create 2D drawings in Autodesk AutoCAD and 3D models in Autodesk Inventor. + Apply knowledge of manufacturing methods, engineering practices, and physical sciences to complete drawings. + Work as part of a CAD team to balance workloads, promote a team environment, and ensure quality deliverables. + Review individual drawings to ensure completeness and accuracy. + Participate in personal and professional development to stay updated on new technologies. + Convert existing 2D drawings into 3D models and comprehensive drawing packages. Essential Skills + Proficiency in using Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD for mechanical design. + Experience in 3D solid model and sheet metal designing. + Knowledge of CAD standards, manufacturing methods, and engineering practices. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Associate's degree in Mechanical Drafting and Design or equivalent experience. + 2+ years of experience in mechanical design. + Proficiency in Autodesk Vault is preferred. Work Environment The position operates within an office environment, working collaboratively on a team of six people, including four designers, a supervisor, and a technical documentation specialist. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out ofDALLAS, TX.
Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $33.00 - $37.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
