full-time We are currently seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Design Drafter with 1-5 years of experience to join our dynamic team. The core responsibility of this role revolves around transforming HVAC system design concepts into meticulously detailed layouts, guided by information provided by Engineers and other stakeholders. Your expertise will be instrumental in creating clear, accurate, and comprehensive detail drawings essential for engineering and manufacturing purposes. As a Mechanical Design Drafter, you will play a pivotal role in generating equipment and bill of material lists, incorporating precise weights and specifications.

Job Responsibilities:

Prepare detailed and precise drawings, meticulously refining rough drafts, detailed sketches, and notes to meet engineering and manufacturing requirements. Create comprehensive equipment and bill of material lists, ensuring accurate representation of weights and specifications. Incorporate all essential views and dimensions crucial for seamless manufacturing processes. Actively participate in team collaboration, contributing to informed decision-making processes. Manage multiple projects concurrently with some oversite, proficiently utilizing Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD.

Required Education and Work Experience:

Solid modeling and prototyping competency is a must Applies design-for-manufacturing (DFM) principles Proficient in reading and interpreting intricate mechanical drawings Proven ability to expand abilities in various software toolkits (Adobe, Figma, Revit, etc.) s knowledge with peers Runs portions of design reviews in collaboration with engineering partners Leads lower level designers for best practices 2-5 years in design experience Manages small design tasks independently Collaborates across functions (engineering, manufacturing, marketing) Associates degree or technical certification in design or related field, certifications a plus Actively pursues additional training Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD is essential for this role Familiarity with Mechanical Engineering terminology, especially in piping, structural, and sheet metal drawings, is preferred
