We are seeking a detail-oriented Draftsman to support the design and production of custom industrial equipment, structural components, and fabricated systems. This role works closely with engineering, project management, and shop personnel to translate concepts into accurate, build-ready drawings.

This is a hands-on position for someone who takes pride in precision, organization, and producing work that directly impacts fabrication and installation.

Key ResponsibilitiesCreate detailed 2D and 3D models using Autodesk InventorProduce fabrication drawings, shop prints, and assembly drawingsInterpret project requirements, sketches, and existing equipment for reverse engineeringMaintain drawing standards, revision control, and file organizationCollaborate with shop personnel to ensure drawings are practical and buildableAssist in developing Bills of Materials (BOMs) and supporting documentationReview drawings for accuracy, completeness, and manufacturabilitySupport ongoing projects with updates, revisions, and documentationRequired QualificationsProficiency in Autodesk Inventor (3D modeling required)Strong attention to detail and accuracy in drafting workHighly organized with the ability to manage multiple projectsProficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and specificationsStrong communication skills and willingness to collaborate with a teamPreferred ExperienceExperience with metal fabrication, structural steel, or industrial systemsFamiliarity with AutoCADExperience creating shop drawings for fabrication environmentsUnderstanding of manufacturing processes and materialsWork EnvironmentBased in Floyd, VirginiaPrimarily office-based with regular interaction with shop operationsFast-paced, project-driven environmentBenefitsHealth and vision insuranceLife Insurance401(k)Paid HolidaysPaid Vacation
