ELECTRICAL CAD DRAFTER
Job Description
A respected Spokane engineering firm has partnered with Aspen Personnel Service to find a detail-oriented Electrical CAD Drafter to join their growing team. This position is ideal for someone early in their drafting career who wants to continue building their technical skills while working closely with experienced engineers and project managers on commercial, industrial, institutional and municipal projects.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Prepare electrical plans, schedules, diagrams and construction details using AutoCAD and Revit Turn engineering sketches, redlines and markups into accurate project drawings Update drawings throughout the design and construction process Create and maintain panel schedules, one-line diagrams and equipment layouts Assemble drawing packages for permit, bid and construction Coordinate electrical drawings with architectural, mechanical, plumbing, structural and civil plans Identify potential drawing conflicts and coordination issues Incorporate design revisions and client comments into project documents Participate in project coordination meetings as needed Review drawings for accuracy, consistency and completeness Maintain drawing revisions and document control Assist with field measurements and documentation of existing conditions Update drawings based on field observations and as-built information Provide drafting support during construction administration
Skills and Experience:
1-3+ years of drafting experience preferred Experience within engineering, architecture, MEP consulting or construction a plus Associate degree, technical certificate or equivalent experience in Drafting Technology, CAD Technology or related field Proficient with AutoCAD Revit experience preferred Basic understanding of electrical systems and construction documents Ability to read plans, specifications and engineering markups Familiarity with Microsoft Office Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines Strong communication and teamwork skills Willingness to learn and take direction
