Job Description

Additional Skills & Qualifications Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and test engine control software for various fuel compositions and environments.
  • Conduct studies to identify and implement new sensors and actuators in both R D and field testing applications.
  • Implement improved fault detection and accommodation logic to improve reliability and uptime.
  • Oversee installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of engine reformers at new field sites, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, clients, and supplier engineers to ensure successful integration and operation of engine reformer control systems.
  • Provide technical support, expert advice, and training on engine control-related issues to clients and colleagues.
  • Lead or participate in safety and risk assessment studies related to engine software design and operation.
  • Prepare and review technical documentation, including performance data, software builds, wiring diagrams. Required Qualifications
  • BS in Mechanical Engineering, or related disciplines; 3.0 GPA or above.
  • Hands-on engine calibration and testing experience.
  • Experience integrating controls software and hardware into complex systems.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Proficiency in engineering analysis tools and software (e.g., AutoCAD, MS Office Suite)
  • Willingness to travel to various M2X design and manufacturing sites, as well as field test locations.
  • 2+ years of professional experience. Preferred Qualifications
  • 3.5 GPA or above.
  • MS/PhD in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering or related disciplines.
  • Track record of working in a team setting to develop and deliver engineering solutions.
  • 3-5 years of professional experience in engine calibration and CAN communication.
  • Experience with in-cylinder pressure measurement systems and other high speed DAQ.
Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rockledge, FL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $55.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
